Permaculture

Shortly after moving into our home, my husband and I enrolled in a permaculture design course. Over the course of sixteen weeks and various (detailed) assignments, we applied our learnings to our own particular corner of the earth, studying the sun and the wind, the waterways, the usage of the space, and the opportunities contained within it. Permaculture has twelve core principles, which are as relevant for the garden as they are for life: Observe and interact. Design from patterns to details. Use small and slow solutions. Creatively use and respond to change.
